What is Diner War?

In the late 2000s, we wrote a humor column for the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Titled “Fear and Loafing,” it involved sampling odd jobs around town. One we wanted to try out was working as a personal assistant to a Vegas celebrity.

Every resident headliner up and down the Strip either declined or ignored our request. Most likely, the downside of having a working reporter snoop around their private life outweighed any potential upside.

Carrot Top, uniquely, was game.

About Diner War

The title went live on September 10, 2026. Rather than reinventing its engine, Blueprint is reusing a mechanic that has already worked. That signals a strategy built on iteration, not experimentation.

The central hook is the return of the pots mechanic, tied here to multi-colored fireballs. The feature first appeared in Triple Action Cash Strike, where it earned its place off the back of that title’s success.

In practice, the colored fireballs feed matching pots that shape how the Power Spins bonus plays out. Trigger the bonus game via the green fireball and the feature runs with the Expand enhancement; any green scatters that land can unlock up to three additional rows. The Collect and Multiplier variants offer alternative routes into the same bonus framework.

How to play Diner War

On the question of who should be responsible for maintaining this understanding, participants favoured a shared model rather than placing the burden solely on one party. 

Before betting, they accepted personal responsibility provided that information was clear. 

During immersive play, however, they wanted operators to take a more active role, through mechanisms such as pop-ups and reality checks.
